MyEmployees CEO, David Long, took the chance to sit down with Elri Parker, Rockstar Franchisee & owner of Golden Corral in Dothan, AL. Elri shares an amazing story about fortitude, overcoming obstacles (including being told he wasn’t a fit for the company!), and the power of mindset and motivation as we move forward into the future.
The secret to Elri’s success lies in great leadership and the power of a positive mindset. Perfect example… he surveyed the team to find out who’s coming back when the restaurant is set to re-open. 62 of 63 employees are standing at the ready.
They’re lining back up to rejoin Elri on his mission to serve the community of Dothan. When asked for his thoughts on the key to such a high return rate, Elri said, “Great leadership, positivity, being there for your people… they will be there for you!”
How your team feels about your company after COVID-19 has much to do with the way they were treated before COVID-19. In everything a leader does, it has to be people first.
