IT Support/System Administrator

Our award-winning team is looking for a full time IT Support/System Administrator with 2-5 years of experience supporting Windows environments.

The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operations and maintenance of systems hardware and software infrastructure.  The individual would be responsible for staying abreast of changes in technology and will be relied upon to innovate in a way that keeps the MyEmployees environment safe, robust, and operating efficiently.  This candidate will be working closely alongside and report to the IT Director to ensure organizational objectives are accomplished.  This position will be an in-house position.

Some tasks and duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage Windows directory accounts along with other software user accounts.  
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Install new / rebuild existing servers, both physical and virtual, and configure services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project / operational requirements (90% AWS, 10% physical).
  • Manage software installation and patches for various platforms.
  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks.
  • Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
  • Create, maintain, and update documentation for standard operating procedures and disaster recovery.

The ideal candidate possesses the following competencies:

  • A+ Certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Windows Server Systems, AD and Group Policy
  • Linux, Apache, Web Server management
  • Networking Experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Work well with others
  • Self motivated and driven to succeed
  • Problem solving ability
  • Troubleshooting

The following competencies are a plus:

  • Windows Group Policy Power User
  • Scripting Language Knowledge (python / powershell / Javascript )
  • VoIP phone system administration (3CX)
  • AWS administration
  • Filemaker experience
  • Front end development with LAMP experience
  • WordPress development

Work Responsibilities and Benefits:

  • 40 hrs/week (Position is hourly)
